Grace

My grandmother passed away this morning. She was 95yrs young. Until this morning we had five generations, my grandma, my mum, myself, my eldest son and my grandaughter.

My grandma had five children...from the oldest... uncle Brian, my mum Marlene, auntie Pat, uncle Peter and Cheryl...[who i only call auntie in fun because there are only eighteen months between us].

Then there are fourteen grandchildren of which i am the oldest.

Followed by thirteen great grand children of which my birth daughter Nichola is the oldest.

Libby my granddaughter is her only great great grandchild. She has just missed out on seeing her second one due in July to my middle son.

My grandma stands between her two sons in the above photo, Brian to her left and Peter to her right.

The group photo is of my grandma's five children taken a long while ago. [the photo's are blurred because they are a photo of a photo].

At the back of my grandma's house you can see my mum sat with my sister on her knee as a baby, me to her right and my brother to her left. The other photo is taken at the front of her house i am stood in the middle with Cheryl to my right and my brother Lewis to my left.

The house is very significant to me apart from holding lots of memories, it was built by my great grand parents. They built two large semi detatched houses one for my grandma and and one her brother Harry who sold his many years ago. My grandma lived in hers until two years ago, unfortunatly it hasn't stayed in the family and i do find it quite difficult when i pass it on my way to work.

I will post further photo's of my gran with my grandfather and step grandfather as well as a photo of the five generations.
