Work is moving along in the gardens but as you can see there is still lots to do ....
Welcome to my blog....I am relatively new to gardening. So as my cottage garden develops I hope you enjoy my garden[s] as much as I hope to do....Comments connected to Special needs children [both past and present] are also welcome. My blog contains a mixture of everything important to me as well as the things i enjoy.....i recently added a quote/my thought for today.

Bird table.....
I am pleased with our new bird table [a touch of normality amongst the upheaval and the rubble].
Yesterday new flowers were planted alongside Jades rose bush.....lovely bright yellow and red, overnight a rabbit which is allowed to roam ate them...this rabbit belongs to a family who live close by. It has been returned to them however they are happy to let it continue to roam and we have been unable to catch it again since. A good home is waiting for it when we do [not ours]. The rabbit often sunbathes in our front garden and I do worry for it's safety.
Weekend.....
Pot painting ......
Another string to Vin's bow....... the pots are not yet complete yet particularly the white plant pot which has a saucer I'm told there are butterflies etc., to be added yet...I love these pots....
Quote for today:-

has to be done, it's always your choice."

Tidy....
After many visits to the cemetery it was time to take off the original flowers that had been bought for Lou.
As a temporary measure until the ground is ready for the headstone mum and dad gave me money to buy what I thought would improve it's appearance until that time.
I managed to find various pots that I thought no one one steal [something we have experienced at Jades]. I also found a really helpful florist who works locally. Vin is going to make a cross with a small plaque which will further improve it's look for now.
Jades garden....
Jades garden is having a re-vamp, winter has taken it's toll and we have decided to make a few changes. Her garden ornaments are due their annual 'spring clean' which will keep me busy for a while.
Our most recent addition to Jades garden is a brightly coloured owl. I have also bought new solar lights which will be delivered soon......6 pretty tulip ones and a Labrador puppy holding a lamp which was a favourite of my brother's.
