Lochnagar crater/ Le grande mine

We are looking forward to our bank holiday working party weekend and the 1st July ceremony as usual.

I am adding this to encourage anyone or people you may know to become members of The friends of lochnagar it costs just approx £12.00 per year.

The crater has lost its main income for the crater and its donations and membership that keeps it going.

I have just completed a two week hospital diet that turned out to be really difficult to do...i had lots of energy but was very hungry most of the time. It started out as a £10.00 bet and then people offered to sponsor me. I didn't ask anyone but have raised £105.00 which will feed almost eleven families for month on rice......i am going to do a further two weeks for the crater...anyone willing to sponsor me please let me know.

Garden

I love this view from my front room window...because of all the work and energy being put into the bungalow and our travels we have not yet put time into the garden ..apart from Vin mowing the lawns.

Tomorrow being bank holiday and both of us at home is going to be time for the gardens and a visit to the garden centre we are recovering from last night but looking forward to tomorrow.

Carrie Ann and Phils wedding

Carrie Ann is my sister's best friend so i have known Carrie on for a lot of years. Yesterday Carrie Ann and Phil were married after four children and having to Wait twelve years for Phil's stubborn ex wife to agree to a divorce.

Vin and myself were invited to the evening do, the place was packed as they both come from big families. It was a very good night. And of course the bride looked beautiful.

Thought for the day:-
