Happy new year to everyone, a little bit late i know, i am not going to say i will blog more and that way maybe i will lol......i would like to and hope to!!
New years eve as usual was spent with my sister and her husband. I took lots of photo's which is the norm. We started at the club, at the back of where my sister lives and later finished off by partying back at Vicki's..... New years eve is also Vin's and mine wedding anniversary...5 years... so plenty to celebrate.
We had Casey stay after new year luckily i was on annual leave so apart from Casey staying longer than planned the snow did not affect me too much. I love to see the snow and enjoyed the scenery but hate driving in it.
Again this last weekend we had Casey stay so I caught up on taking a few photographs. We had an houseful for dinner on the Sunday which included Libby but didn't get to take photo's due to playing hostess. I have always been photo crazy so hate missing out on photo opportunity's [ as long as no ones taking mine!!] And hate forgetting my camera even more, especially on very important occasions.
Libby will be staying during the next school hols so i will catch up then....don't children grow up so quickly?!!
I am busy with various things...which of course is the norm for me, amongst these things i am busy working out very hard in preparation for my sponsorship which i have now decided needs to be a harder challenge than the Go Ape......so i am going to take advice from a friend who's an expert climber and find myself a mountain to climb!! I am looking forward to this challenge. The workout i have found is amongst the hardest i have ever done it is like having my own personal trainer.
I am very lucky to know so many people who are willing to contribute in various ways...car boot items....and sponsorship. As well as joining a shoe box appeal i have started for the Haiti children,...as well as.... my sister is collecting clothes for the homeless [at the moment they are collecting clothes for men,] and i have been offered clothes for this also...so i do feel really lucky and it is very motivating.
We leave for The Gambia at the beginning of April...i will do my climb around July in the warm weather. By then i will know the area where the money is most needed in Gambia for schooling, and have someone to trust to pass the money onto when we are not in Gambia.
Work continues to move forward there are lots of changes ahead all positive, a new hospital and further extended role, which will give me even more responsibility and i am ready for the challenge. Moving into management....sisters upwards are now referred to as management.....has been a real challenge however i am working at finding my comfort zone.
We now have spring to look forward to and i can't wait to start planting in the garden and potting in the greenhouse. New bushes are needed in the front garden as well as potted ones at the back needing re-planting at the front. We are working on how to complete the drive which includes building a porch. One pagolla has been built and a second one in progress.....i see Bbq's, fun, family and friends.
