Playing catch up.....

Time flys when you are having fun so they say...... i am way behind with my blog due to various reasons one being that i have been unwell...thought i had got over it and ended up back at the Dr's today!! so scan booked medications in hand i hope the problem resolves soon.

I have been told not to work!! but i do not have time to waste on being ill so have managed to work through most of it...staffing is rubbish and jobs at risk, sickness being one of the reasons people are losing there jobs....[i am one of the lucky ones my job is safe. One hundred and fifty jobs have had to go which has hit all levels so morale and emotions not good. I am now busy preparing references. It's not possible or fair to celebrate having a jobs when colleagues have lost theirs.]

When at home and feeling ok i have been card making, we have also had our annual visit to Nottingham which included the fund raising dinner for the crater. The weekend also included Vin and mine's ninth anniversary of being together, which meant i was spoilt with more crafting gifts.

At the dinner we always have a raffle, this year we won the above lovely hand stitched Lochnagar badge and a bottle of Lochnagar whiskey. The whiskey will be saved for the 100th anniversary of the first day of the battle of the Somme. We are the second couple to do this amongst the friends.

.....I enjoy keeping up to my blog and like to think of it as a diary, it is not quite what it set out to be but i do enjoy keeping up to it, which surprises me as keeping a paper diary of my inner most feelings has never appealed to me.

Sophia

Sophia arrived yesterday 7lb 12 1/2oz [1lb 4oz heavier than Nichola was] can't wait to meet her, so excited and happy that mum and baby are both well.... no photo's at present but hopefully soon. Congratulations Nichola and Justin. and thank you..

A Grandson

Ben Lewis was born at 08:30 on the 8Th of October. His weight was 7lb 3oz....3oz heavier than Paul was when he was born.

Both Jody and Ben are well, once at the hospital the birth was very quick.

He is lovely...thank you Jody and Paul.

Eight days to go and Nichola and Justin's baby is due, Jody was five days early so you never know.
