Halloween

I have three reasons for posting this witch today....

1) It's seven years ago today since i met Vin on a blind date....we always says he took a witch out....

2) My friend Pam from Derby jokingly calls me the witch and bought me this.

3) Finally of course it's Halloween today.

Sleeping beauty's.....

Libby and Casey came to stay overnight before i start my four night shifts tonight.

Work and Libby being at school stops me from seeing the girls as often as i would like.

They are growing up so fast it's frightening.....

Mandala / reunion

Above is a mandala painted by my daughter Nichola. I don't have a talent for any kind of art but along with Nichola so does Justin and Vin....maybe one day i could try!!!!

We have just had a very full weekend,.... [following nine night shifts]....which included eating at a Thai restaurant with Nichola and Justin whilst we were in Nottingham for an annual reunion with the Friends of Lochnagar.

The evening and the meal was lovely as was Nichola and Justin's new flat.

The reunion dinner also went well...above is a photo of Richard Dunning receiving a gift acknowledging his thirty years of owning the crater. The crater means a lot to many people because of what it represents and is an important part of history.

Not many flowers left.....

We are ready for our autumn and winter flowers to arrive...we only have a few plants and flowers left to brighten the garden, the ones we can save and replant next year are being taken into the greenhouse.

My sunflower's are really struggling after the very bad weather recently....i am sad to see them go....they look too sad to photograph....

Jade's garden still has colour which i am pleased about, and as you can see the few indoor plants i have are still going strong....

I am looking forward to autumn and the changing colour's....once i have enjoyed Christmas i then look forward to spring and all it's bright new blossom....these are my two favourite seasons.

Nostalgia!!!!!

It's seven years come Halloween night since Vin and me met on a blind date....he always says he took a witch out lol...my friend Pam would agree with that it's her fun name for me....come New Years eve it will be four years since we were married so i thought i would bore you all with a few wedding photo's, some are taken here and some are taken in Jamaica .... i just love showing off my family and friends....hope you like them.....we had quite a few bridesmaids and over 150 family and friends at our blessing which took place on our return from Jamaica.....these are just a small selection.....

Masai crazy!!!!

I have gone Masai crazy recently....cups, pictures, figurines....and then more figurines just love em....my quest for life Indian figurine is still my fave but i do love these too....

Doll's house

Vin is working hard making doll's houses ready for Christmas as you can see a lot of work has been done but there is a lot left to do before they are finished.

He intends making them to suit the customer's price range and design.

I am well impressed but not surprised by his work....watch this space to see the final product.

If you know anyone who would like one making just let me know.....

Internet connection again at last!!

At last i am back enjoying having the Internet again....i have been hard at work as usual in fact today is my only day off in the middle of six long days so i am being lazy.

More photo's of Jades garden i am really pleased with how nice the flower's have stayed. The sunflower's getting bigger every day and there are still lots of buds waiting to open. The winds and rain have been thrashing them around so we have had to fasten them in place.

We are doing well with the Gambian funds around £300.00 from just the first collection of car boot donations....you can see us setting off in the van with Trev relaxing in the back...then at the stall and finally Trev returns to the back to count the children's money.

Our next car boot is 16Th November we are concentrating mainly on children's clothes and toys, baubles unused xmas trees and xmas decoration's. We intend wrapping toy's for seperate girl and boy boxes as a 50p dip that way children in the car boot area will benefit as well as children in The Gambia.

Our final car boot will take place in February, and maybe a sponsored event.

We have already received pen's pencil's and a football whistle. We have been promised football boots for mixed age groups and as there are 13 of us going together we are all taking a football shirt each for the local team who have no whistle boots or tops.....can't wait.
