On the morning of the 30Th June we pay respects at Bells memorial along with some of the villagers and the mayoress. We then walk back down to their local church to complete the remembrance with the help of an interpreter who is one of the friends of lochnager and does an excellent job. This is the second year for our new vicar John who is a baptist minister he sums up life then and now really well and captures every ones attention in a very positive way.
After the church we cross the road to the D'esbreys home for wine and brioch [probably spelt wrong..it is a sweet french bread.] Here you can see I have taken photo's as people started to arrive.The weather was lovely if not too hot.
Later it is back to the crater to complete preparation's for the following mornings remembrance service.
Also in Contalmaison that morning were re-en actors who paid there respects to another memorial and then settled for a while outside the church.
